The Vise Grip Compressor by Seymour Duncan is an incredible sounding and easy to use analog compressor. It produces a wide palette of authentic guitar tones, like chicken pickin', singing slide, funky grooves, and bell-like chime. The added functionality of the blend knob and mid/high band pass switch are incredibly useful additions to the pedal compressor.
The Vise Grip Compressor operates with a 9 volt battery, which is accessed by a convenient compartment. It can also be run with a power supply that is 9 or 18 volts DC and can produce 21 milliamps of current. The jack accepts a common barrel connector with negative ground, like a standard BOSS PSA power supply.
I have a love/hate relationship with compressor pedals. They can be noisy, hard to dial in, and sound dull. The Vise Grip is absolutely none of those things. It is a joy to use and sounds great in many settings.
