Louis Electric KR12

  • The KR12 amp is a single 12" combo with a tube compliment of two EL34's for 40 watts. It is a single-channel, master volume amp with two normal and two gain inputs with all four being voiced differently. Adding to its versatility is a footswitch that enables jumping of inputs. The KR12 also utilizes an innovative damping control to dial in or dial out the negative feedback loop, which changes the character of the amp from being more tame or more dynamic.

High Gain Gain #1 Normal #1

The KR12 was based on the tone stack of the late-50's Tweed Twin and the power section of the mid-60's Plexi. After Keith Richards fell in love with this amp's predecessor, the M12 made for Hubert Sumlin, Louis Rosano designed the KR12 for Keith's needs. The result is a truly vintage sounding amp that produces chimey and deep cleans, crunchy and saturated overdrive tones, and so much in between.

We, at Distortion Brothers, are totally impressed with the KR12's broad palette of authentic vintage tones. The more we experiment, the more we discover how the KR12 can deliver so much. Simply amazing!
