The Catalinbread Echorec is the resurrection of the legendary Binson Echorec multi-head drum echo, which was central to Pink Floyd’s early sound. Catalinbread captured the original's syncopated echo patterns as well as adding a few new patterns. It also has a preamp, which can be boosted all the way to fuzz by an internal trim pot. There is also a switch inside to select true bypass or buffered bypass, which has the benefits of echoes trailing off when the pedal is disengaged. Last, there is an internal trim pot for adjusting the depth of modulation in the echoes.
The Echorec operates with a power supply that is 9 or 18 volts DC and can produce 70 milliamps of current. The jack accepts a common barrel connector with negative ground. A standard BOSS PSA power supply will work great at 9 volts for lush repeats and you can also run the Echorec at 18 volts for increased headroom.
Please note the Echorec cannot run on batteries and a power supply is not included.
