The late-1960's 50-watt Plexi circuit enhanced with octal preamp tubes and constructed with true point-to-point wiring make BC Audio's Octal-Plex JMX50 one exceptional amplifier. Distortion Brothers is proud to share these incredible amps being made by Bruce Clement right here in San Francisco.
At its core, the JMX50 is a classic, medium-gain British tone made extremely versatile with distinct, foot-switchable volume and gain boosts. Tone sculpting is maximized with a Normal + Bright channel linking, a tube-buffered, pre-master return effects loop, and a post-phase inverter master volume.
To build the JMX50, Bruce uses true point-to-point wiring and the best components available, including American-made paper bobbin/paper layer wound transformers and custom-built 16 gauge zinc-coated steel chassis with welded corners.
Available for sale here is the Octal-Plex JMX50 head. Matching speaker cabinets, such as the one pictured here, are also available.
